In Which Clothes Are Shed (Along with Common Sense)

‘Girls’ producers go on ‘rage spiral’ defending nudity

“I literally was spacing out because I’m in such a rage spiral about that guy,” she said pointing to the question-asker. “I was just looking at him looking at him and going into this rage [over] this idea that you would talk to a woman like that and accuse a woman of showing her body too much. The idea it just makes me sort of sick.”

This is rich. A reporter dares to wonder about “the purpose of all the nudity on the show,” and takes both barrels in the chest at point blank range. Leering at a woman’s body is – by and large – considered very bad form where I come from. It’s getting trickier now, because apparently suggesting that a woman should cover the hell up is also a big no-no.

Clothing. What chauvinistic chowderhead came up with that idea, anyhow? Womankind must be liberated. Clearly, all the pants, shirts, and underthings are getting in the way.

  1. Just discovered the identity of the above-mentioned chauvinistic chowderhead: “Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.” (Gen. 3:21)

    Aha. Aha.

  2. Somehow I have this feeling if the newsreporter was to gawk at them during the interview inappropriately with them being dressed, they would have also gone on a rage…but if it’s in front of a screen, then it’s okay…
