This is Shai Linne. I’m writing to reply to the recent open letter you wrote in response to my song, “Fal$e Teacher$“. In that song, I referred to Paula White, among others, as a false teacher. I’m glad that you responded because it serves as a reminder to us all that this discussion involves real people with real families and real souls. Therefore, this is not something that should be taken lightly. It’s very serious. Shai’s is a gracious yet uncompromising response, written in the spirit of Ephesians 4:14-15: “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ…”

This is how it’s done, folks. This is humble orthodoxy in action. Isn’t it beautiful?

  1. I’m not familiar with Shai Linne at all, but…my stars. This is exactly the Christian spirit I desire to have; kind, empathetic, compassionate, but firmly grounded in Biblical principles. Thanks! A timely reminder.

  2. That was amazing. Not only did he refute the man’s errors, he did it “with complete patience and teaching” (II Tim. 4:2). Very pastoral. He was anything but mean-spirited. I don’t think he could have made a better response.
