Flotsam & Jetsam (7/18)

Twelve Questions to Ask an Atheist: The Responses – I love this. Matt writes, “I received a surprising number of responses to my recent post, Twelve Questions to Ask an Atheist. So many, in fact, that it didn’t seem practical for me to address them individually. In this post, I will provide a summary of the answers I received, as well as some (brief) feedback of my own.”

Reel Quick – For those of you who haven’t read it, you can click here to read my review of Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man (2012).

Oh, How We Love Our Gurus – “Any Christian writer who puts himself or herself in the public eye should expect people to evalute.  If we don’t want to be evaluated, perhaps we should remain silent.  When writers whine about how mean people are being, I just want to say, “It comes with the territory, doesn’t it?'”

Editing Our Lives –  This is awesome.

Book Review: The Truth About Forgiveness – Michael Wright shares his thoughts on John MacArthur’s book. “For any Christian, this is a must read. It’s short, and straight to the point, but it will not leave you feeling empty and wanting, but filled with joy and
gratitude, seeking to worship the Savior more.”

Entirely Different – All I can say is, amen, Mr. Pink.

“I do not want to drive across a bridge designed by an engineer who believed the numbers in structural stress models are relative truths.” – R.C. Sproul

  1. What exactly does “Flotsam & Jetsam” mean? It’s a dumb question but I just can’t figure it out. And thanks for the links.
