Premonition (Short Story)

Short story #4 is now available for your consideration at Novel Idea – just click this link to read it. Thoughts, opinions, criticisms – all are welcome. I’d love to hear what you have to say about it.

I don’t know where the inspiration for Premonition came from – it pretty much popped into my head out of nowhere, just like that. The whole thing strikes me as somewhat Twilight Zone-ish, maybe with a dash of Hitchcock thrown in for good measure. At any rate, I think it measures high on the bizarreness scale. Let me know if you agree.

  1. I hate dreams like that, don’t you?

“You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension: a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You’re moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You’ve just crossed over into…” the Ink Slinger’s Zone. :-)

Hey, thanks for linking up and for keeping us on our toes at the edge of our seats!

    1. Thank you, Persis. :)

I don’t know if it’d be good for me to have my own “Zone”. My propensity for bizarre thinking might get out of hand and I’d end up in a straight-jacket. ;)

        1. Bazooka? Corn sorn it! What in the sam hill is ah bazooka? No pilgrim has ever dared call me smoke stick anythin udder dan Ma’am while starin down the barrel of my Princess! Course, the muzzle of ah .54 cal. front stuffer will do dat ta most flat landers. Waaagh!
