Thor

It has its flaws, but Kenneth Branagh’s Thor is big, bold, and terrific fun. Phenomenal acting. Dazzling visual effects. Spectacular action. Liberal doses of humor and wit. And grander themes of honor, humility, and sacrifice. All in all, it more than holds its own in the pantheon of Marvel superhero films.

“I have sacrificed much to achieve peace. So too must a new generation sacrifice to maintain that peace. Responsibility! Duty! Honour! These are not mere virtues to which we must aspire! They are essential to every soldier, to every king!”

(I’ll be posting a more in-depth review
of Thor on my movie blog Reel Quick)

  1. Hmm, I hadn’t even heard of this movie until I saw an advertisment for it on a coke can! lol! It looks very interesting. Maybe our family will have to check it out some time. I definitely liked that quote.
