Et tu, Brute? – “It is noteworthy that the very first thing the Lord wants us to know about the very first introduction of evil on the earth is that the serpent was the most crafty of beasts (or, as the Authorized Version has it, the serpent was “more subtle”). ‘The Book Thief’ Movie – Not entirely sure how I feel about this… the book is one of my all-time favorites, and there are so many ways Hollywood could screw up the adaption. Expedition – This is (one of the many, many reasons) why I love XKCD.
No Honesty Without Truth – “Among the many words (and concepts) that have been deconstructed and redefined for these postmodern times is the idea of honesty.” An oldie but goodie from Phil Johnson, recently republished on the Pyro blog. “
”You can save a lot of money by walking face-first into a spider-web every morning instead of buying coffee.” – Eddie Eddings
